Meet the Owner of Vida Springs
Olumide, Affectionately Known as Lu
Olumide, or “Lu” as he’s fondly called, is the proud owner and visionary behind Vida Springs Senior Living and Personal Care Home, a family-owned community established in 2023. A devoted husband and father of two, Lu’s story is one of resilience, compassion, and dedication.
Born in Nigeria, Lu’s journey brought him to the United States, where he embraced his new home with gratitude and became a proud American by both naturalization and spirit. His professional path began with humble roots as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), a role that shaped his deep understanding of patient care, particularly for the elderly.
Through hard work and determination, Lu advanced in his career to become a licensed practitioner in the state of Ohio. Today, he serves in hospital and internal medicine at one of Cleveland’s leading healthcare systems, specializing in geriatric care. His hands-on experience and dedication to his patients’ well-being laid the foundation for the creation of Vida Springs.
The name “Vida,” meaning “dearly beloved,” reflects Lu’s core mission: to provide exceptional, compassionate care in an environment where every resident feels cherished. Having witnessed firsthand the challenges families face in finding quality care without overwhelming financial burdens, Lu envisioned a place where care takes precedence over profit.
At Vida Springs, residents aren’t just patients—they’re family. Lu’s leadership embodies warmth, empathy, and a steadfast commitment to creating a community where seniors can thrive in comfort and dignity.
Through his journey from an STNA to a healthcare provider and now a leader in senior living care, Lu remains guided by his unwavering passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Vida Springs is not just a facility—it’s a heartfelt promise to care, honor, and serve those who call it home.
We are thrilled to introduce Minna Barton, PCHA, as the new full-time Administrator at Vida Springs Senior Living and Personal Care Home! Minna brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and a true passion for senior care to our community.
Minna and her family have been part of the North Huntingdon community for over a decade. She is a proud mother of four teenagers and the loving owner of five dogs! When she’s not at Vida Springs, Minna is likely pursuing her continued education or spending quality time with her family—though she’s always available to our residents and their families.
Minna’s healthcare journey began in 2008 when she became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Since then, she has cultivated her expertise and found a special calling in geriatrics. As a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Dementia Friends Champion, Minna is committed to providing person-centered care with a focus on communication, trust, and respect for those with dementia.
Currently enrolled to become a Registered Nurse, Minna’s dedication to growth and learning is evident in all she does. She believes in making the “final chapters” of our residents’ lives as fulfilling, dignified, and loving as possible.
